Great job Brent blogging the pledge drive. It was fun to follow you and see the what was going on even if I could not hear it live. Also love your use of exclamations!!!!
Thanks Mike and Jenn! It was a blast to do, and we got a lot of positive feedback. I'm sure we'll do it again in November.
It might be possible to post a list of prizes. There will be a couple of challenges.
First, the software that we use tracks who is eligible for which prizes. But it doesn't track who actually won. For the drawings, we exported the list of eligible people out to a spreadsheet, then printed it out. The print out was cut up with one name per slip of paper, and we used those for the drawings. The winner's piece of paper was then taped to the prize and put into the "prize room" (an unused office at the station). So we don't have the winners and their prizes in electronic form at the moment. Although it would probably be a good idea to compile a list anyway, just to keep everything orderly.
The second challenge is that many people wanted their pledges to be anonymous, or at least didn't not want to have their names mentioned on air. However they were certainly still eligible to win. The software does track who wanted to remain anonymous... So once the list was compiled, we could have to go back and remove or obfuscate the names of the people who asked to remain anonymous.
So... It is certainly possible... but it will take a bit for us to put it all together.
